Amy:
The creator of Cool Nurse Sex-Ed101.org and Being Woman, is a registered nurse, a writer and an educator. She has devoted her life as an RN to the welfare of teenagers.
Amy
co-created HIV education and outreach programs in Connecticut and Florida. She taught AIDS patients how to live a full life under these difficult circumstances.
Amy has also worked with adolescents in a psychiatric/drug
rehabilitation facility.
She taught CPR and First Aid for the American Red Cross while ill with a chronic illness in 1995. During this time she was pursing her Master's Degree as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine. Sadly her Master's education was cut short by a rare autoimmune disease which she battles to this day.
She is
a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of
Nursing. She resides on the Gulf coast of Florida, with her two cats and husband.
